NewsConference EXTRA The Man Behind LA's Budget

This week Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti released his city budget. Miguel Santana is LA’s Administrative Officer and the man behind the spending plan. He gives NBC4’s Conan Nolan some of the highlights: The city is doing much better fiscally. LA has strong reserves. LA’s revenues continue to grow. There will more hiring of fire fighters but not police officers. $31 million for 30 years will be spent on fixing sidewalks. But the showcase to this budget was the money being spent on homelessness… $138 million. So where is all this money is coming from? Santana explains.
