Student-Driven Truck Slams Into Crowd at Hemet High School

An 11th grade student at Hemet High School was driving his Ford Ranger on Stetson Avenue when he failed to stop at a red light and slammed into a crowd of pedestrians crossing the street. CHP officials say they’re investigating whether mechanical problems played a role in the crash, which sent nine people to the hospital, including eight students. Craig Fiegener reports from Hemet High School on May 30, 2012.
