USC Student Athlete Dies After Sudden Illness

Family and friends are mourning the death of a 19-year-old star athlete from USC who died suddenly from an apparent heart attack. Jon Walters, who helped the USC water polo team win six NCAA titles, was said to have fallen ill on New Year’s Day. Gordon Tokumatsu reports from USC for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2014.
