LAX Protester “Tired of Being Pushed Down and Stomped On”

Nancy Orantes says she marched during May Day protests at LAX because she’s paying $88 a week in healthcare for her and her 1-year-old son. “We’re trying to save up for a house but we can’t because it’s so expensive and they keep taking it out of my check,” Orantes says. The LAX demonstration shut down Century Boulevard and although noisy, did not appear to disrupt air travel. Ted Chen reports from LAX for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on May 1, 2012.
