Palos Verdes man found shot in his driveway

Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man outside his upscale Palos Verdes home.
Neighbors identified the man as attorney Jeffrey Tidus. A neighbor said that her husband saw Tidus lying in the driveway of his Rolling Hills Estates home, around 8:30 p.m. Monday with blood on his face, according to The Contra Costa Times.
Tidus was taken to Torrance Memorial Medical Center where he died of his wounds at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Tidus was an attorney for 30 years. He handled financial institutions litigation and trademark cases, according to his law firm's website.
Neighbors said that Tidus was known for running marathons and kept several dogs.
"This is one quiet neighborhood," neighbor Georgia Davis told the Daily Breeze. "It really is. It's a wonderful neighborhood."
