Pacemaker Implanted in Woman's Brain as Part of New Alzheimer's Treatment

    Kathy Sanford is the first person in the US to have a pacemaker implanted in her brain to help with the effects of Alzheimer's. The pacemaker sends electronic signals to certain parts of the brain to stimulate activity. The treatment hopes to teach doctors more about the disease and other treatment options. Dr. Bruce Hensel reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on April 26, 2013.
