A resident inside an Eastvale home that was being broken into shot at multiple would-be burglars Saturday causing them to flee, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department was investigating the incident.
The burglary occurred at about 1:30 p.m. while multiple residents were in the home in the 6400 block of Caxton Street, according to Deputy Armando Munoz.
One of the residents shot at the suspects, who then fled the scene, said Munoz.
It was not clear if any of the suspects were hit by the gunfire, he said, and no arrests have been made.
An investigation was ongoing, and no other details were disclosed.
