The Los Angeles Fire Department rescued a man from the LA River Friday after he became stranded in rushing waters.
The rescue occured near the 2900 block of North Acresite Street in Atwater Village, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters and a swift-water rescue team were deployed.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene, according to Bastman.
