A baby abandoned at a Lynwood park was hospitalized. Video broadcast Saturday on the NBC4 News at 11 p.m.
An abandoned baby boy was found in a restroom trash bin Friday morning at a Lynwood park and was still hospitalized through the weekend. The baby's parents have yet to be identified.
Now, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau is asking for help from the public, from anyone who may have information about the event.
The baby was was born sometime between Wednesday June 9 and Friday June 11. He was found by a park visitor in the women’s bathroom at Yvonne Burke-John D. Ham Park in Lynwood around 8 a.m.
Los Angeles County firefighters provided emergency aid. The infant was transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition, the sheriff’s department reported.

Sheriff's detectives asked for the public's help to identify the baby and the person who left him at the park. Security cameras installed at the park show a woman in dark clothing with a pink trike stroller in the area.
LASD SVB detectives are expected to provide further information at press conference Thursday afternoon.

Anyone with information on the baby or the person who abandoned him was asked to call the LASD's Special Victims Bureau at 877-710-5273. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
