LA Mayor's Race Starts With Crowded Field

As the race to succeed LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa gets underway, fully eight candidates are massing at the starting line. The crowded field, whose ranks include City Council members Eric Garcetti and Jan Perry, as well as Controller Wendy Greuel, presents the city with the option of choosing its first female chief executive, NBC4 political analyst Sherry Bebitch Jeffe says.
