Caught on Camera: Masked Thief Holds Up Convenience Store Near USC Campus

The gunman was wearing sunglasses and a bandanna over his face in the early morning heist

One round was fired during an armed robbery attempt caught on security cameras Monday morning at a convenience store near the University of Southern California campus.

No arrests were reported after the 2 a.m. heist at an AM-PM store near Vermont Boulevard and Exposition Boulevard. A store employee said the gunman was wearing sunglasses and a bandanna on the lower half of his face.

At least one round struck the ceiling of the store. No injuries were reported and it was not immediately clear how much cash was missing.

Security camera video showed the thief entering the store and holding a bag into which the cashier was ordered to place items from behind the counter.
