A woman was shot to death early Thursday in Inglewood, according to Sgt. Geoffrey Meeks of the Inglewood Police Department.
The shooting was reported at 2:20 a.m. in the 800 block of North Victor Avenue, said Meeks. The woman died at the scene, he said.
Witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot followed by a man screaming. Authorities did not confirm how many times the woman was shot.
A vehicle is believed to be involved in the shooting, but it is unknown to what degree, police said.
There was no suspect information immediately available and a motive is unknown.
