Moonridge Animal Park Photo Day

PHOTO DAY: Do people show with the cameras when visiting animal parks? They do. In fact, think back to your last few aquarium or zoo visits. Most of the people you encountered likely had a camera or three slung around a shoulder. But a special photo day at a park is a special thing indeed. That means that the venue will create more opportunities for shutterbugs to snap great pictures. And Saturday, May 14 is especially notable at Moonridge Animal Park; the Big Bear zoo is holding a Photo Contest.

SNAPSHOT UPSHOT: Take a really great photo of a Moonridge bear or wolf or raccoon and enter it in the park's calendar contest. The prize, if your pic makes the cut? It'll appear in a Moonridge Animal Park calendar. And you'll get a copy of the calendar to show off. (Brag, brag, brag, we say.)An adult entry is $15, and $10 for kids. There's fine print, as with any contest, so get the details before heading up to Big Bear. And speaking of that, say hi to those pretty bears for us. And the cute wolfpack, too; they just turned two, and must be fully looking like wolfly teens by this point.
