A 750-pound blind sea lion needs a home soon or he might be euthanized.

Big Guy, so named because of his 750-pound frame, has been at the Marine Mammal Care Center for 15 months. The facility in San Pedro provides rehabilitation for marine life, then attempts to find a permanent home for the animals.

Veterinanrian Laura Palmer was hoping to find an aquarium for Big Guy, but the gentle giant has remained at the rehab center for about one year.

He eats an estimated 100 pounds of food per day.

He was discovered on a Santa Monica beach last winter.
