A 26-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting an employee during a robbery at a Fountain Valley business four years ago was behind bars Friday, police said.
Danny Thein Nguyen, of Garden Grove, was arrested Thursday after DNA linked him to the sexual assault, which occurred on Jan. 10, 2012, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department.
Police said the female employee was working alone inside a business located in the 9000 block of Talbert Avenue when Nguyen entered and robbed the victim of her belongings at gunpoint.
Nguyen allegedly took the woman to a back room and sexually assaulted her.
He was booked on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and penetration with a foreign object, police said.
Nguyen, who is on probation from a robbery case in Westminster, was booked into an Orange County jail and is being held on $1,000,000 bail.
