Morning Earthquakes Shake Area South of Downtown LA

At least three earthquakes, including two of magnitude-3.0, rattled parts of Southern California late Monday and early Tuesday.

Two morning quakes about two hours apart were centered in the Gardena area, about 15 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. Weak shaking was reported in Hawthone, Gardena, Inglewood and other nearby communities.

The quakes followed a magnitude-2.5 earthquake late Monday in the same area.

There were no immediate reports of damage.
