A 46-year-old woman from Laguna Niguel was sentenced Tuesday to 16 months in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting two members of her son's youth hockey team, prosecutors said.

In addition to her sentence, Kathia Maria Davis will have to register as a lifetime sex offender, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said.

Prosecutors said Davis had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old boy in her bedroom on four occasions between July 2010 and July 2011. Davis also gave the boy alcohol, and on another occasion, encouraged the boy and a teen girl to drink alcohol during a party at her home, prosecutors said.

On one occasion between April 2006 and April 2008, prosecutors said Davis engaged in sex acts with a 14-year-old boy during a sleepover.

"The suspect would have parties for members of the hockey team," said Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino at the time of her arrest. "This also involved some sleepovers."

A jury found Davis guilty last August of four felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with the 16-year-old boy, as well as two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, prosecutors said. That jury, however, was unable to reach a unanimous verdict regarding alleged sex crimes against the 14-year-old boy.

Last month, Davis pleaded guilty to four felony counts of lewd acts on a child in the case of the 14-year-old, prosecutors said.

At the sentencing Tuesday, a statement written by one of the victims was read to the court.

"Holding all this in as a child forced me to grow up in ways I never wanted to," the statement said. "She took the things that I loved most and ripped them out of my life. I will never know what could have been."
