Isla Vista Rampage Victims Identified

Six UC Santa Barbara students who were slain in a stabbing and shooting spree by a lone gunman in Isla Vista on Friday night have been identified.

Christopher Ross Michaels-Martinez: A grieving father identified his 20-year-old son as a victim in in the shooting. Michaels-Martinez was from Los Osos. He was killed by the gunman at a deli.

Veronika Elizabeth Weiss: Weiss, of Westlake Village and a graduate of Westlake High School, was in her first year at UCSB. She was 19. Weiss was struck by gunfire outside a sorority house.

Katherine Breann Cooper: Cooper was a 22-year-old UCSB student from Chino Hills. She and Weiss were sorority sisters. Cooper was also shot to death outside the sorority house.

George Chen: The 19-year-old UCSB student was from San Jose. He was listed on the lease for the apartment in which he was found stabbed to death, sheriff's officials said.

C.H.: C.H. was 20 and also a UCSB student from San Jose. Officials said he was also listed on the apartment lease. He was also fatally stabbed at the apartment. His parents requested he only be named by his initials.

Weihan Wang: Investigators are trying to determine whether the 20-year-old UCSB student was also a roommate or visiting the apartment. He was from Fremont. His body was found with stab wounds inside the apartment.

The gunman, identified as 22-year-old Elliot Oliver Robertson Rodger of Isla Vista, died of a gunshot wound to the head after a gun battle with deputies, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said.
