Firefighters had to remove the roof of a man's car to pull him to safety on Wednesday.
The Lexus crashed into a power pole near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Latigo Canyon Road in Malibu shortly before 11 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Aerial video showed firefighters cutting open the vehicle to reach the victim.
The man was placed on a stretcher and helicoptered to the hospital about 11:40 a.m.
The victim's condition was unknown, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
