A man in his 30s has been fatally shot after a fight in a parking lot behind a bar today, Orange Police Department Lt. Dave Nichols said.

The shooting occurred at the rear of the Second Base Bar and Grill in the 1500 block of West Chapman Avenue at 12:05 a.m., Nichols said.

He said the victim, an Hispanic male, died at the scene, an enclosed parking lot behind the bar and the suspect fled before police arrived.

Witnesses told a videographer the escape vehicle was a white car or SUV.

The Second Base is well-known in Orange County as the subject of a 2012 reality TV series, "Bar Rescue."
