At Least 6 Injured in Multi-Car Crash in Van Nuys

At least six people were injured in a multi-car crash at a Van Nuys intersection Tuesday morning, firefighters said.

The crash involving five vehicles was reported just after 6 a.m. at Vanowen Street and Sepulveda Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Aerial images showed the street strewn with car parts, glass and other debris. At least one car had its roof missing.

Police said at least six people were injured in the crash, and one had to be freed from a mangled vehicle. Information on the extent of the victims' injuries was not immediately available.

The cause of the crash was unclear.
