A search is underway for a man who allegedly attacked a woman while trying to break into her Simi Valley apartment, police said.

Simi Valley police responded to a burglary in progress in the 1700 block of Sinaloa road around 5:30 Saturday morning after a woman called 911.

The victim identified only as Karen told NBC4 it was a "horrifying morning."
