Surveillance video along Hollywood Boulevard captured this image of three members of a group that attacked a transgender woman May 31, 2013.

Police on Wednesday arrested a second person in connection with the beating of a transgender woman on Hollywood Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The May 31 attack was captured on a surveillance camera pointed toward the Walk of Fame and showed the victim, known as Vivian, being kicked on the ground by four males.

The arrest on Wednesday was of a man police had been keeping an eye on throughout the investigation, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said.

After watching the man for a couple of months, police found enough evidence to arrest him, Madison said. The man's name was not immediately released.

Police first arrested 21-year-old Nicol Shakhnazaryan in June just days after announcing a $25,000 reward for information on the attack. Shakhnazaryan was one of four people sought by police.

The security camera footage released by the LAPD showed multiple males chasing a woman in a red dress down a dark Hollywood Boulevard. The group is seen kicking the victim on the ground before running away on the Walk of Fame.

The victim was hospitalized for a week with severe injuries, including two black eyes and cuts on the face.
