Fatal Park Shooting Reignites Calls For Surveillance

Patrick Caruthers, 19, was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon while sitting at a bench at Harvard Park in South LA. Family and friends on Wednesday left flowers and lit candles at the park bench while local Congressman Bernard Parks called on the city to install surveillance cameras at the recreation center, which has been the center of a gang-prevention effort. Michelle Valles reports from South LA for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2012.
