Fireworks, fishes, and a barbecue buffet are part of the Aquarium of the Pacific's 2010 Fourth of July plans.

Feels like we all feel the pull of the Pacific greater in the summer, and even greater around the Fourth of July.

Beaches and hot holidays could give peanut butter and jelly a run in the famous pairing category. But throw fireworks close to the ocean in the mix, and that's it. Done. We must go.

There are several beachy fireworks displays going down around SoCal, but the Aquarium of the Pacific has a few extras on Sunday, July 4. 1) A full-on barbecue buffet that potential attendees must must must make advance reservations for should they wish to attend. 2) Later hours; the aquarium is pushing the fun through to 10 p.m. And 3) the famous Long Beach fireworks overhead.

The barbecue even has a red white and blue potato salad. Love the Fourth.

Get details, make your reservations, and brag to everyone you'll be water-close on the Fourth. It's just classic is all.
