NBC4 Southern California is gearing up for Comcast Cares Day, which boasts the largest single-day corporate volunteer event in our nation. Many of NBC4's anchors and reporters will volunteer alongside co-workers, family members and friends. Across the country, more than 95,000-plus volunteers will come together to honor the importance of community service.
On April 18, volunteers will lend a hand to revitalize Valley View Elementary in Los Angeles impacting 250 students per year. Volunteer projects will include painting, light landscaping, fence decoration installation and more.
Then the following weekend, on April 25, hundreds will gather at the Van Nuys Armory to stuff more than 5,000 care packages for our troops at Operation Gratitude.
