Following up on that story about whether to shut down the House of Blues for all of its infractions (bar patrons fighting, etc), the Los Angeles Times' Cara Mia DiMassa looks at the two Sunset Strips in West Hollywood: The bawdy one that draws patrons to House of the Blues and the upscale one that draws wealthy tourists to the new hotels, like the Mondrian and the Riot Hyatt (aka the new Andaz). What city officials like Mayor Jeffrey Prang fear: What happened at the Westwood Village a few years ago. "[Prang] cited a case in Westwood Village, where a 27-year-old woman was killed in 1988, an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of a gang rivalry.
