Hills Shuffles: Villa Blanca to Replace Trilussa

Beverly Hills: Lisa Vanderpump Todd and Ken Todd, the duo behind SUR in Hollywood (not to mention myriad London endeavors), will be taking over the restaurant space on the corner of Brighton and Camden that currently houses Trilussa. Word on the street is that Trilussa will close after this weekend, and then the Todds will begin work on Villa Blanca, with the hope that the new restaurant will be open in just two weeks' time. The main component of the physical overhaul will apparently be a transformed bar area, but given the aggressive timetable, we're thinking the space will likely get a freshening up and for the most part, stay familiar.

On the food side of the equation, the Todds have hired Francis Dimitrius—who spent two years as the executive chef at Koi—to run the kitchen. According to the press release, the Mediterranean menu will feature "distinctive pastas, fish, meats, pizzas and vegetable dishes; all provided at a great value." Happy hour sangria is also in the plan, which makes us think that even in the 90210, value will continue to be on restaurants' minds.
