LADY GAGA: Whenever one may start worrying that music is getting too staid or yawn-inducing, all they need to do is gaze upon Lady Gaga, who has created a sparkly, glammed-out persona, outfits that summon to mind mirrorballs, and expansively electronic songs that hearken back to '70s disco superstars and modern singers like Gwen Stefani. But there's a very strong dance thread running through Gaga's confections, so they're not strictly for sitting back and drinking in the bubblegum-flavored pop. And we're pretty sure we haven't seen such outrageous costumery since Grace Jones, and we're very glad to see it back. Go the distance, Gaga! Friday, March 13, 8PM.
