Your Sunday: Dolph Lundgren and a Cup of Glögg

We may never get to spend the holiday season in Stockholm, but we're thankful that Stockholm can come to us on Sunday, December 7, courtesy of The 29th Annual Swedish Christmas Fair. The centerpiece of the colorful festival is the traditional Lucia Pageant (often featured on travel shows around this time of year); a headdress made of candles and a girl representing the storied saint are part of the pomp.

Santa Lucia is not the only headliner of the day, however; movie star Dolph Lundgren -- we were fond of him as Rocky Balboa's muscled nemesis back in day -- will make an appearance. IMDB tells us that, besides starring in several brawn-meets-brawn blockbusters, Mr. Lundgren also has a master's in chemical engineering; a most impressive tidbit. How many other action heroes are able to decipher the periodic table of the elements? Bravo, sir. We should also strive to have such varied talents.

The Fair also boasts handmade gifts, yummy foodstuffs and dancing (which helps work off the yummy foodstuffs). Oh, and steamy, sippable cups of glögg, a warm-the-toes take on mulled wine (we like the deep flavor and the umlaut). Skal!
