Police were seeking public help Saturday in locating two men suspected of committing a series of 13 armed street robberies in Los Angeles and Culver City in November.
The suspects were identified as Dijon Cooper, 21, and Nye Lee, 31, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release.
During the robberies, the suspects reportedly got out of their car and robbed pedestrians at gunpoint of their wallets, jewelry and cell phones, police said. One was armed with a black revolver and the suspects claimed gang affiliation, police said.
The first robbery on Nov. 6 was at Dunsmuir Avenue and Coliseum Street in the Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw area and police said there was a robbery Friday on 12th Street in the Mid-Wilshire area. Many were in Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw and Mid City areas and one robbery Thursday was in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City, police said.
The car was described as a white, late model four-door Toyota Camry with paper plates, possibly with the word Glendale printed on them, police said.
Cooper is described as black, 6 feet tall, 212 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and Lee was described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
