A couple was driving in a car in Culver City when gunshots rang out, shattering the car's window Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
"We heard about four to five gunshots, and after that we heard a car drive away," Daisy Hernandez, resident, said.
The car-to-car shooting occurred at 7:48 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Slauson Avenue.
Police said nothing indicated that the couple knew the person shooting at them.
The 35-year-old man was taken to the hospital after glass shards ricocheted onto him.
The suspected shooter was driving in a white BMW with tinted windows, LAPD said.
