The sign parts fell on the number 2 and 3 lanes, just south of the 14 Freeway before 3 p.m.

The sign parts were blocking traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Traffic was to be diverted to the truck lanes until the damaged sign can be repaired.

Traffic appeared to be at a standstill as crews worked to take the remaining parts down at 3 p.m.

By 3:30 p.m., all lanes were back open, according to the CHP.
