Garfield High School in East Los Angeles was on lockdown Thursday as police searched for two assault suspects who ran onto the campus, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's East Los Angeles station.
The suspects were armed with baseball bats, police said.
The lockdown was lifted around 4:20 p.m., after police determined that the suspects were no longer on campus.
