Man Kidnapped After Abductors Take Marijuana Plant

Two people responsible for the kidnapping allegedly threatened the man with a gun to have him give them a marijuana plant.

Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man after he was reported kidnapped Monday in Anza.

At approximately 9:17 a.m., the Riverside County Sheriff Department's Hemet Station responded to the 51000 block of Deer Springs Trail regarding a kidnapping.

Anza resident, Spencer Hayes, 28, is considered to have been abducted against his will after three men and a woman arrived at his residence at approximately 3 a.m., according to officials.

Two members of the group believed to be responsible for the abduction allegedly threatened Hayes with a gun to have him give the group a marijuana plant he had been growing at the location.

The victim then left the residence with the group.
