101 Fwy Lanes Reopen in Hollywood After Crash Investigation

One lane was open as the morning commute began early Tuesday through Hollywood and into downtown Los Angeles

A fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian closed lanes on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway Tuesday morning in Hollywood.

Three lanes were closed for more than two hours near Highland Avenue for the crash investigation. Details regarding the crash were not immediately available.

At about 6:30 a.m., the southbound backup extended into the San Fernando Valley. California Highway Patrol officers placed orange cones across the closed lanes to direct traffic away from the site of the investigation.

All lanes reopened at about 8 a.m.
