Paul Anthony Garcia died on March 9 after he was stabbed in the chest following a fight inside the El Chile Picante restaurant at 1919 S. Main St., police said.

The confrontation (pictured below) in the restaurant went down about 2 p.m., and surveillance video shows a man eating in a booth behind where the altercation was happening.

Garcia was seated in a booth when two men confronted him (pictured below), poking him in the chest and trying to pull him away from the table, surveillance video shows.

The men left, followed soon after by Garcia (pictured below, at right).

One of the attackers chased Garcia across the street and assaulted him, police said. At some point during the attack, Garcia was stabbed.

He was found on the sidewalk by officers. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Santa Ana Police Homicide Unit at 714-245-8390.
