The best things in this world never remain in their original form for long. They flower, they sprout, they grow, and they get much, much bigger.
Take Movember, the November-long fundraiser in which clean-shaven men grow mustaches to raise donations for men's health initiatives. Once upon a time, lo, a decade or so ago, Movember was very much about the mustache-ing for a cause.
Now? There are 5Ks, like the Mustache Dache, which ran near Dodger Stadium on Nov. 17. There are parties and many photo-taking opportunities and gatherings and shave parties, on both ends of the month, and, yes, there are cocktails.
The Whisper Restaurant and Lounge at The Grove is spotlighting the Mo Better Bourbon in honor of Movember. The cocktail, which includes Kentucky Straight Blanton's Bourbon, ginger Cognac, and ginger beer, is 10% off, and a dollar from each one sold will go to Movember.
And, yep, that's a pretty thematic stirrer in the drink. Oh, mustaches; you definitely are the new birds, in terms of crafty-cuteness. We like.
We also like that this tasty concoction is both timely and kindly. If you want to help Movember, get to The Whisper Lounge by the end of the month.
