A man armed with a hammer tried to rob an adult store in Anaheim Friday night, injuring a security guard before he was arrested, police said.
The store's security guard confronted the robber and was injured in the altercation at an "adult toy store" in the 900 block of S. Euclid Street late Friday evening, Anaheim Police Department spokesman Bob Dunn said.
When officers arrived, the suspect was outside of the location, lying on the ground and bleeding heavily, police said.
The security guard was also bleeding, having been hit with a smoking pipe, Dunn said. The security guard hit the alleged robber with a machete.
The suspect was taken into custody and is being treated for his injuries, while the security guard was treated by paramedics at the scene, Dunn said.
Footage from outside the store showed money and several smoking pipes on the ground.
