Three tree trimmers were hospitalized Tuesday after they were swarmed by bees in Irvine.
One of the workers received more than 100 stings. Another victim was stung 50 to 75 times. The third victim was stung less than 25 times.
All three were hospitalized at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. Authorities said they suffered allergic reactions.
The attack occurred while the workers were landscaping near 2400 Hollow Glen. The hive was in a tree in which they were working.
