A man driving a stolen car lost control and slammed into a house in South Los Angeles Monday morning, according to police.
Police are searching for the hit-and-run car thief who slammed into the home in the 4100 block of west 59th street. The resident of the home was jolted out of bed by the crash, but was not injured.
Police said the suspect lost control of the car while trying to make a turn. The vehicle ended up breaking a window and pushing in a wall of the living room.
The suspect fled on foot and police are still looking for him.
