A brief pickup truck pursuit ended in the downtown LA area Tuesday night after a reckless driver refused to stop, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol was pursuing a red Chevy pickup truck on the southboud 101 for reckless driving at 7:50 p.m.
The chase came to an end when the driver pulled into a driveway near Clarence and 4th Streets.
Officers, with guns drawn, told the driver to get onto the ground, and he was taken into custody.
A passenger exited the truck, and he was also led away in handcuffs.
Authorities said the driver reached 100 mph at one point.
