A group of brazen thieves were caught on camera holding down a 69-year-old woman against her car and cutting a Rolex watch and gold bracelet from her wrist before fleeing the scene in a car. Gadi Schwartz reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014.

Four men mugged a 69-year-old woman, stealing her Rolex watch and bracelet and leaving her with cuts to her wrist, police said Thursday.

The incident happened on Oct. 30, police said. Surveillance video shows the men pulling up in a car behind the woman's car in an alley near the 300 block of La Brea Avenue.

Two men held the woman down while a third used an unknown tool to cut a Rolex watch and gold bracelet from her wrist, police said.

The woman suffered a cut to her wrist when the watch and bracelet were cut off, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

"I heard a scream, and then I heard some shouting," said a valet attendant who witnessed the attack. "I see them, and I can't get to her on time ... It's like trying to chase chickens and trying to figure out which one to get. I wasn't really thinking, I was just acting."

The three assailants are described as white or Latino, about 6 feet tall and about 220 pounds, authorities said.

The car they were in was described as a black, mid-2000s four-door BMW 740IL with paper plates and tinted windows.
