Deputies were searching for a brown car after three men were shot in unincorporated Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Century Station said.
Two of the men died at the scene, deputies said.
The call came in at 5 p.m. from the 13000 block South Avalon Boulevard.
Deputies did not immediately provide a suspect description, but said a brown car was seen fleeing the area.
The shooting appeared to have occurred near a liquor store at 135th Street and Avalon Boulevar near a shopping center.
Witnesses told police they heard at least 15 shots.
