Firefighters responded to Universal Studios-Hollywood Monday after a report of several people stuck on "Transformers: The Ride-3D."
Aerial video showed at least two fire-rescue vehicles outside the ride. The location is in the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard in the Universal City entertainment complex.
Los Angeles County fire-rescue units responded to the site at about 9 a.m. Patrons were escorted from the ride, according to a statement from Universal.
"The Transformers ride encountered a technical difficulty this morning and as part of standard operating procedure, we began exiting a small number of guests from the ride vehicle. To ensure the safety of all guests, fire trucks are on site to assist as needed," according to the statement.
A guest on the ride tweeted that the ride "froze" and the screens "went blank." The woman told NBC4 guests were provided with Express Passes.
No injuries were reported. The ride, which debuted in May 2012, was expected to reopen Monday after an inspection.
