A person was seriously injured after a U-Haul truck side-swiped an SUV and crashed into a Van Nuys drug store Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
About 4:40 p.m., the truck crashed into a CVS store at 6201 North Sepulveda Boulevard, south of Victory Boulevard (map).
The driver was trapped in the wreckage for several minutes before being extracted and taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Building and Safety inspectors were on-scene to examine the damage to the building.
