Nearly 100 fire personel extinguished Monday afternoon a brush fire in Woodland Hills that ignited near homes and along an iconic roadway in the San Fernando Valley.
The roughly 1-acre blaze broke out about 4:30 p.m. near Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Mulholland Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It was knocked down in less than an hour.
Aerial footage of the blaze showed flames climbing along a hillside, on the opposite side of which were homes.
No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, LAFD said.
Temperatures in the area climbed into the high 80s Thursday afternoon with wind gusts up to 14 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Humidity near the fire was 29 percent.
