A woman was killed and her relative was hospitalized with burns after a fire broke out at a three-story condominium complex in Woodland Hills on Saturday night, fire officials said.
The fire was reported just after 9:30 p.m. in the 21600 block of Burbank Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was taken to a hospital for treatment, said Brian Humphrey of the LAFD.
It took 49 firefighters 24 minutes to knock down the flames at the 92-unit complex, Humphrey said. The flames were confined to one unit.
