Grenada Wins First Olympic Medal in History

Grenada's Kirani James blazed through the 400-meter Monday night, claiming gold and his country's first medal in Olympic history. James, the reigning world champion and a two-time NCAA champion for the University of Alabama, won the race with a time of 43.94 seconds. Luguelin Santos of the Dominican Republic came in second, with a time of 44.46, giving his country its second medal of the London Games. Lalonde Gordon of Trinidad and Tobago came in third.
