Neb., Okla. File Suit Over Colorado Pot Legalization

Nebraska and Oklahoma asked the U.S. Supreme Court to declare Colorado's legalization of marijuana unconstitutional. The lawsuit, brought by attorney generals from both states, seeks a court order to prevent Colorado from enforcing its voter-approved measure known as Amendment 64, which legalized the use and limited possession of marijuana by anyone over 21. The two states claim that the contraband is flooding across their borders, hindering efforts to enforce anti-marijuana laws, and placing an undue financial burden on taxpayers. It was unclear whether the Supreme Court would accept the case.
